Risk of Strong Storms Returns Late Friday Across Southwest Iowa
Another weekend of active weather returns to the state, and this time it looks to impact mainly southwest Iowa. Storms will develop across Nebraska and Kansas Friday afternoon and will track east/northeast into southwest Iowa early Friday evening.
The primary threats will be large hail and damaging wind gusts. Back into southeast Nebraska Friday afternoon, a tornado or two will also be possible, but this tornado threat does not appear to move into Iowa. As we get closer to Friday, the timing and severe threats will be better defined.
